The plugin supports IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM (EWARM) 8.x,
starting with the 8.11.1 release.
See the list of known and fixed issues.
Using Java system properties to provide Embedded Workbench installation path
It is possible to use a Java system property to set the Embedded Workbench for ARM installation path when e.g. using the CDT headless builder.
Use iar.sdkprovider.arm.v8.location for the EWARM 8.x plugins, and iar.sdkprovider.arm.location for the EWARM 7.x plugins.
Support for Embedded Workbench for ARM 7.x projects
This plugin supports loading of legacy Embedded Workbench 7.x projects and their migration to 8.x.
Migration from 7.x to 8.x project
This is done from the project's popup menu, under "Configure → Migrate IAR Project". Please refer to the provided tutorial.
Debugging of 7.x projects
Debugging is not supported for 7.x projects: they need to be migrated first.
