System Requirements
- An Eclipse installation, based on Eclipse 2020-09 or newer, on Windows or Linux as required by the IAR products.A pre-built Eclipse distribution including a Java runtime is available in the Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers package. Alternatively a custom installation can be performed via the Eclipse installer.
- IAR Embedded Workbench (EW) (the IAR Eclipse plugins do not include the compiler or debugger itself). The IAR Build Tools (BX) variants are also supported.
- Java Runtime Environment, version 11 or later, as needed to run Eclipse itself. Recent Eclipse versions include the latest Java runtime LTS version, currently Java 17: see https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse/Installation.
